Boudoir is so much more than a vanity photo shoot. I see all kinds of women walk through my door - women of all ages, sizes and walks of life. Boudoir is so much more than getting pretty photos of yourself. I've received numerous letters, emails, messages and phone calls from women recounting stories of how they've battled with depression, lost a job, or struggled with divorce and how much their experience with our sessions has changed their life. It's heartbreaking to hear how many women tell us that they do not remember the last time they felt beautiful. Women also come to us to celebrate a milestones in their lives, whether it be to document a certain age, showcase a new body, celebrate an achieved goal, give a gift to a loved one, or simply to do something completely for themselves. As women, we go through our entire lives being taught to hate our bodies and obsess about our imperfections. We are taught that if we have too many curves we're too fat, but if we don't have enough, we are too thin. We are led to believe that no Hollywood starlet has cellulite and that we all ought to strive to squeeze into that size 2. We are told that our age defines us, and our body limits us; and the more we accept these things, the greater the pieces of ourselves that we lose to feelings of unworthiness and shame. Life is too short to let anyone or any source manipulate your self worth.Boudoir is a confidence booster, a reminder to love yourself. It's an experience with professionals who truly care about making you feel and look amazing. I am lucky and privileged to meet so many strong, beautiful women. My job is to create an environment where you feel comfortable and cared about and to recognize what it is that is going highlight and enhance your natural beauty. When women come to our sessions it is our goal to surpass all of the falsehoods, not just with sexy photos, but with forever still framed moments of the beauty, joy and strength that is within every woman.
